What to know first
- Eligibility: 18+ on the qualifying date (1st of the revision month).
- Must be ordinarily resident of the polling area.
- Forms: Form 6 = new voter; Form 8 = correction / shifting / EPIC replacement / PwD marking.
- e-EPIC (PDF) downloadable after approval; equally valid as ID.
How to do it
- 1Register: voters.eci.gov.in → Form 6 → details + photo + age/address proof → submit → note reference.
- 2Correction/shift/replacement: log in → Form 8 → choose option → upload proof → track.
- 3Download e-EPIC: log in → Download e-EPIC → EPIC/reference → OTP → secure PDF (also to DigiLocker).

- Age proof (birth cert, school cert, PAN, passport, DL, Aadhaar)
- Address proof showing ordinary residence
